How to Install TeamViewer on CentOS, Fedora and RHEL

Download and install TeamViewer 9 on CentOS, Fedora, RHEL computers using the following Linux command.

# cd /tmp
# wget http://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_9x/teamviewer_linux.rpm
# yum localinstall teamviewer_linux.rpm

Note: only 1 file available for both 64 and 32 bit architecture for rpm based system.

Install TeamViewer on Ubuntu and Debian

TeamViewer app also available for Debian based system in 64 bit and 32 bit type.

64 Bit computers

$ cd /tmp
$ wget http://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_9x/teamviewer_linux_x64.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_linux_x64.deb

32 bit  computers

$ cd /tmp
$ http://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_9x/teamviewer_linux.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_linux.deb

How to start TeamViewer

Type the following command in command prompt to start TeamViewer

# teamviewer

First time it will prompt to accept license agreement. it will start after you click ” Accept License Agreement”.
