Some times we will get problem in getting connection to internet. Though we have internet connection, this problem occurs due to increased DNS cache. So that may prevent us to connect with internet. But we can clear those cache with help of flush command using command prompt. So in this article i am going to tell you the methods to flush DNS cache.
To open the terminal, use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+T. Run the following command to flush DNS cache.
sudo /etc/init.d/dns-clean restart
if you find any trouble in running this command, then try the alternative command given below.
sudo /etc/init.d/networking force-reload
Run the following command to flush the nscd cache.
sudo /etc/init.d/nscd restart
We have to also flush the dnsmasq cache by restarting it.
sudo /etc/init.d/dnsmasq restart
