[INSTALL] Google Chrome for Ubuntu 14.04/13.04/12.04 through PPA

Google chrome has become inevitable nowadays. You need Google Chrome for Ubuntu too as it works well.In this post, I have mentioned the way to add Google chrome to repository.

Download Linux Repository

It is not like Windows , You cannot directly download the chrome in Ubuntu through PPA. So Download the Linux Repositories first.

Or else you have to run the following command in command prompt.

wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -

It is key installation process. After completing this run the below command to google browser to the repository.

sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list'

Update Google Chrome

sudo apt-get update

Run the above command in the command prompt to update the Google Chrome.

To install Google Chrome’s Stable Version

sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable

 Run the above code in the command prompt to install Google Chrome’s stable version.

To Install Google Chrome’s Beta Version

sudo apt-get install google-chrome-beta

Run the above code to install Google chrome’s beta version.

To uninstall the beta version run the following code in your command prompt.

sudo apt-get install google-chrome-unstable

And that’s it. Guys now we have completed the whole installation process. Now enjoy using Google Chrome browser.
